The competition - which has discovered artists such as Tion Wayne and Nadia Rose - is back and bigger than ever before to find emerging artists.

The year-long programme sees the musicians offered workshops at Abbey Road Studios, have sounds developed by music directors at Marshall, offered mentoring, promotion plus performance opportunities including being announced live on TikTok.

MOBO Group found Kayna King CBE said: “MOBO continues to provide a unique talent platform and push for more representation, both on-stage and behind the scenes across the creative industries.

After a nationwide search there will be ten finalists in the UnSung Class of 2023, in partnership with Marshall and TikTok's SoundOn and supported by PRS Foundation.

Last year's MOBO Awards took place at OVO Arena Wembley hosted by Chunkz & Yung Filly.

The night featured performances by Kojey Radical, Beenie Man, Emeli Sande, Cat Burns, Fireboy DML & more to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the awards.

In the past, global artists who have attended the event - which is one of Europe’s biggest Music Award ceremonies - includes Janet Jackson, Beyonce, Diddy, Jay Z, Lauryn Hill, Rihanna, Tina Turner, Sade, Lionel Richie, Usher, Sam Smith and Amy Winehouse.
