Dami could be seen driving his Mercedes Benz while holding his phone in his left hand as he filmed himself in the rear view mirror before recording clips of the road in front of him.

He then took both hands off the steering wheel and began to film from his sunroof.

The TV star - who shot to fame on the ITV2 dating show last year - shared the clip with his fans.

He captioned it: "Summer soon land."

The video shows him appearing to take his eyes off the road - which has prompted road safety campaigners to slam him for his "stupid" and "dangerous" driving stunt.

John Scruby, from the Campaign Against Drink Driving, said: "This seems to be yet another example if so-called 'celebrities' thinking they are above the law.

"And just how stupid are they to not only break the basic laws in traffic legislation, but to film themselves doing it?

"Can these celebrities not realise just what their behaviour promotes to young, influenced people, especially those novices or about-to-become drivers?

"I sincerely hope that the police in whatever area covers this incident take action and pursue a conviction for the behaviour of this individual.

"Maybe they'd like to come and speak to some of the victims of similar behaviour and explain to them why they think it's okay to flaunt the law in such a flagrant manner."

Dami's rep has been approached by The Sun.

Dami found fame on the ITV2 dating programme last year.
