MY Cornwall viewers have been left livid and are all saying the same thing about host Fern Britton.

The former This Morning presenter returned with her Channel 5 series which explores Cornwall.

Fern, 65, travelled more inland during the second instalment as she visited West Wivelshire and Powdershire.

During the opening scene Fern told viewers: "This is my Cornwall."

But viewers have lashed out at the TV star, who grew up in Ealing, West London, for taking ownership of the idyllic location.

Taking to Twitter, one posted: "#mycornwall I think you should be doing #myealing? #fernbritton Never presume it’s your Cornwall - it’s not - thanks."

Another said: "Fern Britton doing My Cornwall excuse me love you’re from London. #mycornwall."

"Why does #FernBritton calling #Cornwall “My Cornwall” grind my gears so much. #channel5," said a third.

During the episode Fern visited Roche Rock with historian Elizabeth Dale.

Taking viewers through the attraction, she said: "This is Roche Rock, upon which sits a tumbled-down chapel woven with history.

"And on the top of it, there is a chapel of sorts."

Speaking more about it, the historian said: "So the chapel that you see right now was built in 1409, but there's this idea that there was a much older sort of hermit style there before, which was lived in by this monk called Ogryn.

"And he's involved in all kinds of myths and legends."

Fern Britton's My Cornwall is available to stream now on My5.
