SUELLA Braverman today warns Labour not to “frustrate the will of the people” by trying to thwart her bid to stop the boats.

The Illegal Migration Bill - which will ban Channel migrants from claiming asylum in Britain - will return to Parliament on Tuesday.

The Home Secretary warned Sir Keir Starmer’s party not to try to kill the legislation.

She said: “It is now for Parliament to get behind this Bill and ensure we bring it into force as soon as possible to meet the aims of the British public.

“I also call on the Labour Party to get behind it and not frustrate the will of the people.

“All they have done so far is try to water down our Bill, pay more heed to the rights of illegal migrants than hard-working British taxpayers and come up with tired old proposals to give more money to law enforcement.

“They are not a serious political party, and are not serious about stopping the boats. The British people know that.”

The Bill will stop Euro judges from blocking deportation flights and crack own on the abuse of the Modern Slavery Act.

Former PM Theresa May has hinted she could rebel to stop her flagship Modern Slavery act being touched in the Bill.

But The Sun on Sunday understands she does not plan to push her amendment to a vote - avoiding the awkward sight of a Tory former PM leading a rebellion against current PM Rishi Sunak.
