Rapper MoneySign Suede has died at the age of 22 shortly before he was due to be released from prison, according to reports.
Taking to the musician's Instagram, his family wrote: "We appreciate the condolences, our family has not set a gofundme, don't fall for any scams, thank you!"
The 22-year-old rose to fame in recent years after releasing his debut self-titled album in March 2022. That same year, he released the two albums: Parkside Baby and Parkside Santa.
Hailing from Los Angeles, California, he was best known for his songs BACK TO THE BAG, She Gon Choose, and Veteran and was signed to Atlantic Records.
Suede spoke about his family in an interview with music blog site Passion Weiss, explaining that he would try to "see my people every day."

Suede spoke about his family"It’s a huge family because all my sisters already have kids," he said. "Each one has something like three, four or five kids. I got all sorts of nephews and nieces and s**t. I still see my people every day.
Tributes started flooding in for the young prodigy. One fan on Twitter spoke about his impact on the music industry and branded Suede a "young regional hero."
"RIP MoneySign Suede, much more than L.A.'s own Mexican-American Kodak, but who also channeled that same pain, indomitability & sense of struggle," they wrote.
"A young regional hero embodying the hopes & aspirations of the unsung and overlooked. Killed in jail far too young. Devastating."
Another put: "Damn, RIParadise to MoneySignSuede .. one of the most promising young talented artists from LA in recent years. And from all accounts a very solid guy.
"‘She Gon Choose’ was one of my most played songs these past couple years. My prayers are with his family and loved ones."
Suede had been in and out of jail for several years but didn't let that stop him from pursuing his career dreams.
Messages from fans started flooding inSpeaking to AllHipHop in October, he said: "I recorded [Parkside Baby] ever since I came out of jail. Just by coming out of jail, I was really motivated.
"My mindset was: 'I gotta go hard for me'. That was last May. Being out of jail, just trying to make the best music I could make. It all came together."
He also referred to his time in jail as a 'learning curve'. "It’s crazy," he said. "I could say a lot, but one thing I could for sure say on top of my head right now is I learned patience.

"I learned how to appreciate things more, like family and the little things."
Speaking about finding fame while still behind bars, Suede said: "I didn’t really know how to feel because I was in jail. It’s hard to focus on that shit and feel hopeful.
"You can’t really force yourself to be happy. I didn’t really feel it like that, you know?"
