Bruno Fernandes says Manchester United fear no one under Erik ten Hag ahead of a tense derby clash with Manchester City.
After a disastrous start, losing his first two games, Ten Hag has transformed United, who have risen from the bottom of the Premier League to fourth, just four points behind City. Fernandes, who will captain United in Saturday's Manchester Derby, said Ten Hag's side believe they can beat anyone and are ready to underline their revival by beating City.
“You go to every game and the feeling you have now is that we're not afraid to play against anyone,” said Fernandes. “It's always been a joy to play, but when you win games it's always better, you feel more comfortable, you feel more confident.
“Now probably, you can see a team that has a way to play that convinces the fans and convinces the players it's the right one and one that can win games. In the past, you could not see that. Obviously, fans believe and trust, but felt that when the toughest games were coming, there was a little bit of, ‘can we do it or not?’.
“But now, if you look at the fans, the players, everyone, you feel that we can play face-to-face with everyone at this moment. This is something we have to believe so that, game by game, we can achieve great results.”

Fernandes acknowledged City's quality but said United are ready to swing the balance of power back in their favour after a decade spent in their rivals' shadow. “City are one of the best clubs in the league, but it's about believing in ourselves," Fernandes added.
"We know what we've been doing is great and it's about carrying on that momentum. The confidence is high. The team knows what we're capable of doing, what the direction is that we want to go in.
“The intensity has to be the same, the performance levels have to be the same, because only that way can we win every game that we have ahead.”
