A FAMILY car fitted with tractor wheels ploughs across a muddy assault course — and proves its creators are outstanding in their field.
Three engineer pals first tried the transformation with a manual Ford Fiesta before having more success with an automatic Peugeot 206.
Gareth Jenkins, 29, from Nuneaton, Warwicks, said: “We’re living out childhood moments from TV — Top Gear, Scrapheap Challenge and Chop Shop — building all the crazy things we saw and thought, ‘Wow, I’d love to do that one day’.”
Gareth added: "Now we’re older that day is here, and we certainly have more to come.
“The tractor car was actually the second time we’d built one of those.

"We just wanted to see if we could get some old tractor wheels to work on a car.
“The first time we tried it we used a manual Ford Fiesta and it didn’t last long at all.
"The second time, we used an automatic 206 Peugeot and it worked much better.
“To get the tractor wheels to ‘fit’, we welded a steel rim to the centre of the tractor wheel, then welded another on the back which fitted to the car.
"We added some extra strength bars in places so they didn’t snap.
“The boat car was originally built on TV by Chop Shop in 2007 as a surfer’s dream car.
"Although it could never go in the water then, me and my brothers loved the show as kids and around 2014, Charlie found this one for sale in a scrapyard near Blackpool.
