CLARA Amfo has risen to stardom after kicking off her career on Kiss FM.

After finding fame on Radio 1, the job offers have not stopped pouring in for the talented presenter.

Who is Clara Amfo?

Clara Amfo was born in Kingston upon Thames on May 28, 1984.

She worked as an intern at Kiss FM in London, which led to the start of her radio career.

She presented the overnight show, before being promoted to Saturday Breakfast and then the drivetime slot.

She joined BBC Radio 1Xtra in 2013, hosting the weekend breakfast show.

 

In 2015, she became the host of The Official Chart on BBC Radio 1.

The same year, she took over from Fearne Cotton as host of the station's mid-morning show.

Clara left the show in 2021 and instead took over Annie Mac's Future Sounds on Radio 1.

What TV shows has Clara Amfo hosted?

Clara is also known for her work on TV as well as radio.

She has reported from assorted events in the UK, including Wireless, Global Gathering, SW4 and NASS festivals.

Clara has presented for BBC Three, and coverage of Radio 1’s Big Weekend, T in The Park and Glastonbury festival.

The talented presenter also hosted the Brit Awards 2018 red carpet alongside Capital FM's Roman Kemp.

She was part of the Celebrity MasterChef 2018 line up, but was eliminated during the last week of heats.

Clara famously appeared in the 18th series of Strictly Come Dancing, in 2020, but sadly was the fifth celebrity to be eliminated.

She has appeared on Pointless, The Hitlist and The Weakest Link, as well as a contestant on The Great British Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer.

She also appeared as a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race.

In 2023, Clara took on the job of reporting on the King's coronation for the BBC.

Does Clara Amfo have a boyfriend?

As of 2023, Clara is a single lady.

In an interview with The Sun in 2019, she was asked about the love of her life.

She responded: "My mum Gracie. She’s a big deal on Instagram with over 10,000 followers. People care about her more than me."

She was also asked how often she has sex, and responded: "Whenever I can! Sex is a fantastic, natural thing. We could all be having more of it."
