OZZY Osbourne has announced he's cancelling his upcoming UK and European tour after a recent operation has meant he's "not physically capable".

Ozzy, the 74-year-old Black Sabbath icon, has had a series of nasty injuries and health issues over the past few years, including a spinal injury after an accident in his home in 2019, and being diagnosed with Parkinson's the same year.

Unfortunately, after a series of corrective operations for his spine, he's had to put all appearances and performances on hold indefinitely so he has time to recover.

Announcing the news on Instagram, Osbourne wrote in a statement: "This is probably one of the hardest things I've ever had to share with my loyal fans. As you may know, four years ago, this month, I had a major accident, where I damaged my spine.

"My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage. My singing voice is fine. However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak.

"I am honestly humbled by the way you've all patiently held onto your tickets for all this time, but in all good conscience, I have now come to the realisation that I'm not physically capable of doing my upcoming European/ UK tour dates, as I know I couldn't deal with the travel required.

"Believe me when I say that the thought of disappointing my fans really F***S ME UP, more than you will ever know.

"Never would I have imagined my touring days would have ended this way. My team is currently coming up with ideas for where I will be able to perform without having to travel from city to city and country to country.

"I want to thank my family.... my band.... my crew.... my longtime friends, Judas Priest, and of course my fans for their endless dedication, loyalty, and support, and for giving me the life that I never dreamed that I would have.

"I love you all..."

His "No More Tours 2" tour was due to kick off in Finland on May 3rd, and continue around the continent before ending in his native Birmingham on June 14th.

Refunds are being made available at point of purchase.

Ozzy’s fateful fall occurred in spring 2019, when he went to the bathroom in the middle of the night at his Los Angeles mansion.

He aggravated long-term injuries sustained after breaking his neck in a quad bike accident at his UK property 16 years previously.

As a result, he needed extensive surgery last year in order to get back on his feet.

He had initially hoped to be well enough to perform, declaring last year "he'll be back on tour if it kills him".

The star revealed in 2020 that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, but hid it from the public for a year before opening up about it.

He eventually sat down for a tell-all with Good Morning America as he "couldn't hide his health struggles any longer after 2019 was the most painful year of his life".

Despite the degenerative diagnosis, which impacts the nerves, Ozzy has continued to perform around the world, including a surprise stint at the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony, held in his hometown in Birmingham.

The Black Sabbath rocker in his heyday was known for his wild stage act and performance, including an infamous moment when he bit the head off a live bat thinking it was a fake.
