COUNTRYFILE viewers were left double checking their calendars tonight after the BBC staple aired outside of its usual Sunday slot.
The festive reshuffle has caused havoc among the viewership, many of who had similar issues last week when the programme aired on a Tuesday.
The agricultural show is a Sunday night favourite, usually airing between 5.30pm and 7.30pm and pulling in millions of viewers each week.
One tweeted this evening: "So, no one knows what flippin day it is, and the #BBC think it's a good idea to put #Countryfile on ... on a MONDAY.
"Who else, did a double-take, and said: What day is it?"

Another posted: "Just in case you aren't confused as to which day it is... @BBC are playing Countryfile."
A third joked: "I've just switched on the telly... Countryfile on a Monday??? I feel more disorientated than Charlton Heston in Planet of the Apes."
On tonight's show John Craven explored the National Hedge Laying Championships in Oxfordshire, while Anita Rani tried her hand at cricket with an amateur club.
Professional hedge layer Colin Clutterbuck took home the top award at the championship, 10 years after last being named the Supreme Champion.
Last week presenter Margherita Taylor transported viewers to the Scottish Highlands.
She explored the roots and traditions surrounding Burns Night.
In the episode, Margherita visited Auchindrain which is a remarkably preserved example of a Scottish farm township.
She soon discovered how tough life was in the Highlands and that Christmas was once just a normal working day for villagers there.
Then she tried haggis for the first time while bagpipes were playing.
Meanwhile, Matt Baker helped select snowdrops for the festival and needed an organiser's assistance to select the perfect flowers.
