TWO terrorists snared by undercover cops while trying to recruit homegrown killers to murder British soldiers could be freed.
Ex-Taliban fighter Munir Farooqi and Israr Malik both soon have parole hearings.
The pair were convicted of terror charges in 2011 after trying to persuade two cops to “fight, kill and die” in Afghanistan.
Farooqi, 65, was handed four life sentences, but was only given a minimum sentence of nine years.
He has so far served 12 years behind bars.

Malik, 34, was Farooqi’s loyal helper and was given an indeterminate sentence, with possibility of parole after five years.
The pair were convicted of preparing terror acts, soliciting murder and disseminating terrorist literature.
Chris Phillips, former head of the National Counter Terrorism Security Office, said: “It is ridiculous for committed terrorists to be given a parole hearing so early.
“Farooqi was given four life sentences and the public will wonder why he is potentially being released on licence.
"Terrorists are not like other criminals. They are a constant danger to our society.”
Father-of-three Farooqi ran an Islamic book stall on Longsight market in Manchester which was a front for extremism.
He sold jihadi books and bragged to undercover officers how he fought for the Taliban.
