West Ham United’s quest for European glory will take a step closer tonight as they take on AZ Alkmaar in the Europa Conference semi final first leg at the London Stadium.

The Hammers will be heading into the tie on a high after beating Manchester United 1-0 on Sunday. That victory all but ensured West Ham ’s Premier League survival so their attentions can now turn to bringing a European trophy back to the London Stadium for the first time this century. The Dutch outfit will present a formidable task for David Moyes’ men having already beaten the likes of Lazio and Anderlecht in the tournament so far.

The Europa Conference League has offered a reprieve from domestic troubles for the Irons this season. Alkmaar will be facing a West Ham side rejuvenated from their classy win over United this week and so hopes are high that Moyes’ side could reach the final on June 7 which will take place at the Eden Arena in Prague.
