What is Alika's Eurovision song?

Alika will be performing her song Bridges at Eurovision 2023.

The song was released in her home country on December 2, 2022.

She penned the haunting tune with Wouter Hardy, who co-wrote Duncan Laurence’s Eurovision winning song Arcade.

It was revealed the pair wrote the song in just three hours during a recording session in the Netherlands.

Has Estonia ever won Eurovision?

The country's first and only Eurovision win came in 2001.

The winners were Tanel Padar and Dave Benton, along with 2XL, who sang Everybody.

They received 198 points, making Estonia the first former USSR country to win the contest and the second country in eastern Europe after Yugoslavia.

Per Eurovision tradition, the 2002 contest was then held in Estonia, in the capital city Tallinn, where Sahlene finished third for the hosts.

When did Estonia join Eurovision?

Estonia first entered the Contest in 1994 when the late Silvi Vrait took to the stage in Dublin with Nagu Merelaine.

The early years of their participation in the competition were particularly successful.

Between 1996 and 2002 the country finished in the top 10 in six out of seven contests, including fourth in 2000 with Once in a Lifetime by Ines.
