According to insiders with the show, Dorinda was let go because she reportedly failed to take accountability for her drunken and mean-spirited behavior.

While referring to the last episode of season 12, an insider told The U.S. Sun: "Bravo hates nothing more than when cast members break the fourth wall.
"The second Dorinda did that, she put in her resignation!
"Producers hate when they bring the show into the plot. Sure, Dorinda isn't the nicest drunk but she tells it like it is.
"Dorinda said Tinsley violated her contract, which infuriated producers."
The source added: "Dorinda was so mad about that because she felt Tinsley got special treatment, and the remaining cast was forced to carry her weight the rest of the season, and they didn't get paid anymore to step it up.
"Of course, Dorinda is upset she was fired, anyone would be!"
Another RHONY source disputed the information and disclosed: "That isn’t true. The reunion addresses Tinsley leaving early yes, but it has nothing to do with Dorinda leaving the show."
Meanwhile, an additional behind-the-scenes confidante commented to ET: "Dorinda was very aggravated all season long and it was too difficult to work with her.
"It's obvious she needs to work on herself. The reunion was rough and she wouldn't acknowledge her bad behavior."
Regarding her exit from the longtime Bravo series, Dorinda took to Instagram and announced: "What a journey this has been. I have laughed and cried and tried to Make it Nice...but all things must come to an end.

On June 23, 2022, Dorinda returned to the franchise for season two of Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip.
The following year, it was announced Kelly was cast for Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip season five.
This edition of the program is titled RHUGT: RHONY Legacy and is her first appearance in the franchise in over 10 years.
The show features Kelly with her past RHONY co-stars Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, Kristen Taekman, and Dorinda Medley.
The series will be released via Peacock and filming takes place at Saline Beach in St. Barts.
