JESSIE Wallace has surprised fans by unveiling her real name.
The EastEnders' legend posted a throwback shot on Instagram that revealed what she used to be called.
Jessie beamed in an old shot she threw up on social media.
The star looked dramatically different with a short blonde mullet-style crop as she larked about with pals.
More surprising was the name 'Karen Wallis' in the newspaper article, as the Kat Slater actress goes by her stage name Jessie Wallace.

She captioned it: "Trippy Day 1985."
She added: "Love this pic. Very randomly being in the Guardian newspaper."
Jessie has been full of beans after showing off her snazzy garden transformation.
The star, 51, saw her garden face an overhaul thanks to her fiance Justin Gallwey.
Taking to Instagram, in the first snap, Jessie, most known for playing Kat Slater in the BBC soap, showed off her weathered garden that looked as though it was in need of a good spruce up.
It originally was cluttered and looked as though there were lots of tools lying around, likely in preparation for the work set to commence.
Writing underneath the posts, Jessie gushed over her partner and his ability to transform the space.
The actress said: "Before and after @justin_gallwey doing his thang."
In the follow-up image, Jessie wowed her fans as she showed off the new and improved space.
The results were impressive as it featured a brand new set of chic white steps and a decking area perfect for hosting all of Jessie's co-stars for a garden soiree.

Across the improved grass area were some modern seats perfect for Jessie and Justin to relax in and bask in the afternoon sun.
Jessie's former co-star Rita Simons commented: "I need this person!"
Gushing over her partner, Jessie replied back: "@rita_simonsofficial he’s my maaaaan."
The Sun revealed earlier this year that Jessie was set to marry for the first time after becoming engaged to Justin.
Carpenter Justin Gallwey, 50, is getting hitched to Jessie after at least a year together.
