"Protein bor" is how James Doyle, a popular fitness TikToker from Ireland, pronounces "protein bar."

His followers began light-heartedly joking with him about his thick accent, leaving comments saying "protein bor" below his videos.

Naturally, fans started to make duets of his videos and comments poking fun at him, but he leveraged it to make a name for himself as a fitness influencer who is nearing 1million followers.

Most of his videos are workouts, but he also promotes protein products and has a bit of fun.

You can find him on TikTok at @jamesdoylefitness, or you can search for "Protein Bar Papi" since he changed his name on the social media platform to reflect his newfound success.

How many followers does James Doyle have on TikTok?

As of July 20, 2022, the 'power bor' lover had 141.1k followers on his TikTok.

As of May 18, 2023, Doyle has racked up an eyewatering 722k followers on the video sharing app.

He celebrated his 100k milestone in June last year, less than a year ago.

Before the 'power bor' trend lit the coals under his quick rise to fame, Doyle was essentially unknown outside of #GymTok.

Also, if you're going to be on TikTok around your kids, be warned that James loves to drop the F-bomb. A lot.
