Tottenham are crawling towards the finish line with a Europa League spot at stake with two games left to play.

Spurs have endured a season to forget with their top-four hopes drifting aimlessly following the sacking of Antonio Conte. Yet they could still at least salvage European football next term, which may be necessary for their hopes of keeping Harry Kane and attracting a new top-class manager.

The visit of Brentford could scupper that plan, however, with the Bees already certain of a top-half finish and Thomas Frank's side could still overtake Spurs and land a European berth themselves.

Here is all you need to know about the game.

Team news

The big news for Brentford is they will be without aforementioned star man Toney, who is ruled out until January following the decision by an FA panel this week. Bees boss Thomas Frank has rejected any suggestion Toney has played his last game for the club, however, telling reporters at a press conference on Friday: "I've been in contact with him. He's disappointed and sad about the situation. His future is with Brentford, there's no doubt about that."

The same might not be said of Spurs striker Kane, who continues to be linked with an exit this summer, though club chiefs are desperate to keep their leading scorer.

One player who will be departing is Lucas Moura, who is set for his final home match in a Spurs shirt. Eric Dier is facing a late fitness test to determine his involvement, while Hugo Lloris and Rodrigo Bentancur remain sidelined.
