The TOTS promo will be coming to an end in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team today, and the fan-favourite Shapeshifters will take its place.
TOTS is a staple promo in Ultimate Team, but after a six-week run, it will be nice to shake things up and get a new promo in FIFA 23. Step up Shapeshifters, the promo which is confirmed to be released into FUT later today at 6pm BST/ 1pm EDT/ 10am PDT.
Shapeshifters is usually one of the biggest promos in the FUT calendar, with four different Shapeshifters squads being released in FIFA 22 including a host of FUT Hero items. Like the Rulebreakers promo that was released at the beginning of FUT 23, Shapeshifters included a host of high-rated special cards with position changes, but we're set to see a big change to these items in FUT 23, with some Shapeshifters confirmed to have a new chemistry system.
Here's a round-up of the latest Shapeshifters Team 1 leaks and how the Shapeshifters updated chemistry system will work.

FIFA 23 Shapeshifters chemistry explained
EA has confirmed via a FUT 23 loading screen that some Shapeshifters items, called Premium Shapeshifters' will have different ways of getting chemistry than other Shapeshifters items, but it's left some players slightly confused. The graphic released by EA didn't explain it very well, so this is how it works.
Regular Shapeshifters items will earn chemistry the same as any normal player in FUT, and you can tell these apart from the Premium Shapeshifters by the little crown logo on the top of the card. Any Shapeshifters item that has the mini crown design on the card is a Premium Shapeshifters item and will get full chemistry automatically, as long as they are played in the correct position.
They will also give an extra +1 for league chemistry to other players, meaning the chemistry system on Premium Shapeshifters works the same as FUT Hero items. It's unclear whether all Shapeshifters items will be released with both of these versions or if only certain Shapeshifters will be Premium versions.
We can also expect to see a bunch of exciting SBCs and Objectives released during the Shapeshifters promo, with a Swaps event-style event once again being released in the Season 7 Storyline Objectives. The rewards include the first two Shapeshifters items, a 92-rated Thiago Silva and a 97-rated Toni Kroos.
