ANDRES INIESTA broke down in tears as he bid farewell to Vissel Kobe.

The Barcelona has spent the last five years at the Japanese side and leaves upon the expiration of his contract - but he is keen to continue playing.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano the veteran midfielder will make a decision on his future soon.

But Iniesta revealed his desire to continue playing weeks after he turned 39.

He said: “I feel in good conditions to play and compete, again and again.”

Iniesta has won it all and scored the winning goal in the 2010 World Cup final.

He also won the Champions League four times at Barca as well as LaLiga on nine occasions.

And success followed in Japan as the technician added the Emperor's Cup and Japanese Super Cup to his list of honours.

Before deciding his next move Iniesta will make his final appearance for Vissel Kobe in a friendly against Barcelona next month.

It is believed Iniesta is entertaining offers from Saudi Arabia, as well as the MLS.

He scored 26 goals in 131 games for Vissel Kobe and departs despite the club reportedly being keen to renew his contract.

Iniesta made 674 appearances for Barca and scored 57 goals during his 16-spell at the Nou Camp.

He also won 131 caps for Spain, the last of which came in 2018.
