PEOPLE are only just realising how Ryanair got its name after one flyer asked "who's Ryan?".
The confused passenger took to TikTok as they waited to board their plane, posing the valid question to thousands of viewers.
They wrote: "Does anybody know? Who is Ryan from Ryanair???"
Hundreds of mind blown viewers rushed to comments, amazed that they had never asked themselves the same question before.
One said: "I DON'T NEED SLEEP, I NEED ANSWERS."

While another asked: "Ryanair what secrets are you not telling us?"
A third admitted: "I was literally on a Ryanair flight the other day and thought the same thing."
Micheal O'Leary has become synonomous with budget airline Ryanair since he became CEO of the company in 1994, making it safe to assume that he in fact is the founder.
However, this is actually not the case.
Ryanair was actually founded back in 1984 as "Danren Enterprises" by Christopher Ryan, Liam Lonergan and Irish businessman Tony Ryan, who gave the company its namesake.
Danren Enterprises was shortly renamed to what we know today, and began operations in 1985.
So in truth, the airline actually took its name from the man who founded it.
The company's single propeller aircraft carried 5,000 passengers in its first year, a far cry from the 165.3 million the airline ferried in 2023.
Current boss O'Leary orginally worked as a financial advisor to co-founder Tony Ryan before joining the company as chief financial officer in 1988.
He became CEO in 1994, and has held the role ever since, growing the company to become one of the biggest low-cost airlines on the planet.

The limited-time sale offers low fares to plenty of sunny destinations such as Barcelona, Santiago, Santander and Zagreb.
And if you're in the mood for more of a city break - you can jet away to a city such as Amsterdam, Cologne, London or Luxembourg.
