ANTIQUES Roadshow host Fiona Bruce admitted she was left 'baffled' during a task which saw her attempt to identify a variety of items.

The TV presenter watched on as one of the programme's experts, Adam Schoon, offered up a series of options for her to decipher exactly what the mystery items were.

Dressed in a flowing blue top and a tight pair of white trousers, Fiona was in Northumberland for the latest episode of the BBC One show.

However, things took a turn when she was left utterly flabbergasted by one of the items on display.

Expert Adam pointed toward a wooden stick and asked Fiona and the watching crowd: "Now, is it a 17th-century love token basting stick?"

He went onto explain how the ladle would work on the item for it to perform as such.

However, it was his second option, and his subsequent bizarre display, that left Fiona watching on puzzled.

Adam said: "Now, the other option is that it is a 17th-century love token shoe horn."

He then lifted the item from the table and began to attempt to demonstrate how it would be used as he bounced around on the spot.

He continued: "You know, its perfectly shaped, and you could use it appropriately to get you heel in."

The crown began to chuckle as Fiona pulled an unimpressed face as she looked around at the attending guests.

Realising the awkwardness, Adam sheepishly quipped: "You're looking baffled, Fiona."

She answered back: "I am baffled!"

Later on, Fiona decided to opt for the shoe horn as the correct answer however it seems Adam's theatrics were all for show as it was instead the basting stick.

It left Fiona groaning at getting the answer wrong.

It comes just a week after she was left snapping at a guest to 'get out' when they encouraged her to give an incorrect answer during a similar game.

Watching on as Fiona looked at three vases created from 1900 to 1920, one guest chimed in and offered her thoughts, however it quickly went all wrong.

The lady in question said that expert Eric was "throwing her off the scent", by speaking about one particular item too much.

She then declared which category she believed all three fitted with as Fiona loosely agreed and later told the onlooker it was 'on her'.

Shockingly, Eric insisted they had it all wrong as the item that they thought was the most expensive actually turned out to be basic.

An open-mouthed Fiona gasped before she turned to the onlooker and quipped: "Right, out, out! Get out!"

Snapping back, the guest said: "Buy that Fiona for your house!"
