MANCHESTER UNITED are still favourites to sign Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.
But his arrival at Old Trafford is no longer a forgone conclusion after bookmakers Sky Bet altered Mount's odds of joining the Red Devils from 1/5 to 10/11 over the last 48 hours.
Mount, 24, had looked certain to join Erik ten Hag's side to fill the key 'number eight' role in midfield.
But negotiations have dragged with the two Premier League heavyweights now at an impasse.
Chelsea rejected United’s third bid for Mount on Friday, which was £50million plus a further £5m in add-ons.

The Blues are holding out for a deal worth £65m including add-ons to meet their full valuation of the player, who's scored 33 goals and provided 37 assists in 195 games.
As a result, The Telegraph claim United have left their £55m proposal on the table and have decided that face-to-face talks with Chelsea are unnecessary at this point.
Ten Hag and Co. are now assessing other options with West Ham's Declan Rice and Brighton's Moises Caicedo on their radar.
An extended stay at Stanford Bridge is offered at 11/10, although that's viewed as risky given Mount has just 12 months remaining on his contract.
Should Chelsea fail to agree an extension, Mount will be eligible to leave on a free transfer in the summer of 2024.
Bayern Munich are considered 'best of the rest' at 8/1 with Thomas Tuchel a known admirer of the England international.
Liverpool are offered at 16/1, ahead of Arsenal and Juventus, who are available at 33/1 and 40/1 respectively.
