ACTRESS Jess Impiazzi would love a role on hit BBC One soap EastEnders.
And Jess, 34, who played Harriet Thorpe’s daughter in the Amazon comedy series Keep Calm and Carry On, knows the part she wants.
Jess Impiazzi has revealed she wants to land a role in EastEndersHarriet, 66, joined the soap as Linda Carter’s mum Elaine Peacock and is set to be at the centre of all the drama later this year when Cindy Beale returns to Albert Square for good.
Harriet’s finance George Knight, played by Colin Salmon, 61, and his two daughters Gina and Anna, actresses Francesca Henry,28, and Molly Rainford, 22, have not seen Cindy since she walked out in her family nine years ago.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online at a star-studded bash at Eighty8 nail salon in London’s Covent Garden to celebrate the launch of US brand NuRevolution, she said: “I was with Harriet on Monday, all the cast of Keep Calm and Carry On attended the National Film Awards together.
What Ola and James Jordan really ate and did to shed 7st“Obviously Harriet is in EastEnders now, which is just fantastic. We had a lovely catch up and I’d love to join her in Albert Square one day!
“I’ve never had an audition, but who knows what might happen in the future. It would definitely be a dream come true to work on a show like EastEnders.
“Harriet played my mum in Keep Calm and Carry On, which was a mini comedy series we did together for Amazon.
“I’d love to play one of her kids, we could continue our story as mother and daughter. It would be a case of Amazon to Albert Square.”
Jess has been keeping herself busy these last few months auditioning for parts following the success of her role in BBC One drama Strike: Troubled Blood. Her appearance on the drama has see her acting career go from strength to strength.
Next month she has another Amazon comedy series coming out.
She said: “I filmed a comedy at the beginning of the year called All About Casey, which was really fun.
“It’s a bit Bridget Jones and I play the best friend of the lead character who is a rich drunk. It was so much fun to film. I’ve never been rich before and I do put on a bit of a posh accent but she spends so much of her time drunk that there’s also a lot of slurring.
“It’s out on August 11th and I’m really excited for everyone to watch. I’ve had a few exciting auditions too so fingers crossed for the rest of the year.”
Jess, who is in a relationship with former footballer and TalkTV presenter Jermaine Pennant, 40, added: “I’m just such a massive TV fan. You can learn so much from watching the people that inspire you.”
