A SUSPECTED serial killer often compared to the notorious Ted Bundy has been arrested after an alleged years-long killing spree.
More than a year after he allegedly killed three sex workers in Mexico, Bryant "Eduardo" Rivera was arrested outside Los Angeles on Thursday.
He is expected to be extradited within the coming days to Baja California, said the State Attorney General's Office.
Authorities have been hunting for Rivera, 30, who they believe has been a serial killer since November 2022.
"We will apply all the legal and technological instruments necessary to find those responsible for any crime, particularly those considered for gender reasons, so with a strong hand we will seek to bring all those criminals to justice, even when they try to evade it by hiding in another country," said Baja California Prosecutor Ricardo Iván Carpio Sánchez in a statement.

Carpio claimed that Rivera showed "violent and psychopathic behavior."
Rivera, a California man, has only been charged with one murder by US officials despite being wanted for three in Mexico, according to a federal complaint.
Investigators believe he strangled Ángela Carolina Acosta Flores to death on January 24, 2022, at a hotel room in Tijuana near a bar that he allegedly picked the woman up from.
He had allegedly frequented the Hong Kong Bar for several months and is accused of killing another prostitute who worked there before allegedly murdering Flores.
Surveillance footage allegedly showed what appeared to be Rivera and Flores walking to the nearby hotel around 10.15pm but Rivera was seen leaving alone an hour and a half later.
Flores' mother and boyfriend believed she was in danger when she didn't answer her phone, however, the hotel staff wouldn't open the door until noon the next day, reported KTLA.
The sex worker's naked body was found inside but by that time, Rivera was back in the US, according to surveillance footage from the San Ysidro Port of Entry showing him entering the country just 13 minutes after leaving the hotel.
Rivera may have also taken Flores' phone as the device's last known location was in Riverside, about 114 miles north of Tijuana.
Witnesses were able to identify Rivera as the man who was last seen with Flores, however, he used the name "Eduardo" when speaking with the dancer and checking into the hotel room.
A sex worker spoke with investigators and told them that Rivera had taken her to a hotel room for a "service" just a few hours before he allegedly killed Flores.

Rivera returned to the Hong Kong Bar a month after allegedly killing Flores and is believed to have killed another dancer.
The victim was a 25-year-old woman whose naked body was found strangled and bludgeoned to death inside her SUV three days after she was reported missing, reported the San Diego Tribune.
Rivera has been compared to the infamous Ted Bundy who kidnapped, raped, and murdered dozens of young women and girls during the 1970s.
Only 20 murders were linked to Bundy, who was executed via the electric chair in 1989, but he confessed to 30 murders and is believed to have committed more than 36.
Rivera is expected to appear in federal court on Monday for a detention hearing.
