BAYERN MUNICH have announced the departure of two big players as they prepare for next season.
The Bundesliga champions have today announced that both Joao Cancelo and Daley Blind are leaving the club.
Joao Cancelo is leaving Bayern Munich after joining on loan from treble winners Manchester CityDaley Blind has also been released by BayernBayern made the announcement on their official Twitter page where they thanked both players for their time with the club.
The said: “Thank you for your efforts at FC Bayern, João Cancelo and Daley Blind. Wishing you both all the best for the future!”
Cancelo joined in January on loan from Manchester City with an option for the Bavarians to sign him for a fee around £62million.
Man Utd back-up goalkeeper Martin Dubravka recalled by NewcastleHowever Bayern look to have decided not to exercise that option as they announced the Portuguese full-back would be leaving.
Cancelo featured 21 times for Bayern, scoring once and registering six assists.
He isn’t the only former Premier League player to be let go by the German giants though.
Ex-Manchester United defender Daley Blind was also announced to be leaving the Allianz after his brief spell with Bayern.
Blind also made the switch to Germany in January when he left Ajax on a free transfer.

But he failed to offer much to the Bundesliga powerhouse, playing just four times in the league and becoming something of a forgotten member of the squad.
The 33-year-old hadn’t featured for Bayern since he played just six minutes of football in March.
