THE Chase fans were left unimpressed as Shaun Wallace failed to answer an "easy" question.
In tonight's instalment of the popular ITV quiz show, The Chaser (Shaun Wallace) appeared to not be on top form - leaving viewers of the show puzzled.

But some fans of the game show felt that Shaun slipped up on an easy question.
Presenter Bradley Walsh asked Shaun: "In his book, 'The Road To Wigan Pier', George Orwell referred to the myth that the working classes kept what in the bath?".

Much to both viewers and Bradley's dismay, Shaun chose the option "Whippets," instead of the correct answer - which was coal.
Fans of the show took to Twitter to point out Shaun's blunder, with one exclaiming: "Really?" followed by several laughing crying face emojis, alongside a snap of the TV screen when Shaun made the blunder.
Another wrote, just moments after he answered the question incorrectly: "Na they need to sack this Chaser."
A third added: "FFS -Shaun retire while you're at the bottom of your profession!"
Another described this evening's questions as "easy".
Bradley even pointed out Shaun's blunder, teasing: "I tell you now he’s got the raving hump."
He later continued: "He’s having a proper go at me today isn’t he coz I called him out about the Whippets question. He’s having a right go at me."
Despite his mistake, Shaun still beat the contestants in the final chase, where the panel managed to get twenty steps ahead of the Chaser.
Shaun jokingly quipped after winning the final chase: "Whippets this, Whippets that."

Bradley then signed off the episode by joking: "If you knew it was coal and not Whippets, come and have a go - you are definitely clever enough."
