Liverpool are continuing to push forward with their pre-season, despite the impending exits of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson.

Both of the Reds midfielders are closing in on moves to the Saudi Pro League, where they are set to earn massive wages. But a spanner could be thrown into the works of Fabinho's transfer to Al-Ittihad, with Bayern Munich now plotting to hijack the deal.

If both players leave, boss Jurgen Klopp will be forced to dip back into the transfer market to replace, though the German has hinted that he is already eyeing targets. Here, Mirror Football rounds up the latest Liverpool transfer news.

Bayern eye Fabinho hijack

Bayern Munich are plotting to hijack Al-Ittihad's move for Fabinho, with that deal dragging on. The Brazilian was left out of the Reds' squad that travelled to Germany for a pre-season training camp, with Liverpool accepting a £40m bid for the midfielder.

Now though, Bayern are hoping to through a late spanner in the works, according to Sky Germany. It is stated that Fabinho is on Bayern's shopping list, with Thomas Tuchel a big fan of the Reds star.

They are monitoring the situation, with Liverpool having hoped to have Fabinho's move to Saudi finalised this week. Though he is not a top target for them, if the deal fails then Bayern intend to swoop in.

Jurgen Klopp has dropped a heavy hint that Liverpool will be active in the transfer market, right up to the deadline. Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai have already arrived at Anfield, with Klopp keen for further reinforcements.

“My main focus and my main energy has to go into the training sessions, that’s what I do. The time left and right of the sessions then I can try and sort other stuff, and that’s what we are doing," he told Liverpool's club website.

“Still around three to four weeks until the first game of the season, a few things have to happen until then. Definitely. Transfer market-wise as well, that’s clear now. It will happen, and we will have a good team.”

Henderson undergoes medical

Jordan Henderson has undergone a medical ahead of his mega-money move to Al-Ettifaq. The midfielder will sign a three-year deal with the Saudi Pro League side, worth £700,000 per week in wages.

According to Saudi newspaper Arriyadiyah, Henderson arrived in London on Friday ahead of his medical. Ettifaq had booked an appointment for Saturday, before Henderson completes the final pieces of paperwork.

Ettifaq are now waiting for confirmation that Henderson has passed his medical checks before proceeding. The England international should have no problem passing the checks, to take a step closer to moving to Saudi Arabia.
