SKY has made some major changes to its channels this month, and an expert at the broadcaster has some sage advice for customers wrestling with the update.
While Sky frequently shuffles its channels, it can be a frustrating time for viewers.

"I'm afraid an edit option for the TV Guide isn't possible however you can select sub categories such as 'Cinema' for all the movie channels to show and also you can set up your favourite list," the expert at Sky commented via the broadcaster's Twitter Help account.
You can set up your favourites list on Sky Q in two ways:
18 expert hacks to help you lose a STONE in just one month- Go to the TV Guide, followed by Favourites and then select Setup favourites.
- Go to Settings, scroll to Favourites and then select Setup favourites.
From there, you’ll be offered a list of channels to add to your favourites which are based on what you’ve watched before.
Each channel you add will be given a number from one to 99.
Then you can choose to Change list or Save list.
If you choose Change list, you’ll be able to add or remove channels and also remove all.
Once you’ve selected all the channels you want, click Save list to lock it into place.
You can then choose to re-order your list or Save and finish.
If you're a Sky Glass or Steam customer, follow these steps instead:
- Press Home on your Sky remote.
- Scroll down and select Settings from the bottom of the Homepage.
- Select Viewing Preferences then Manage favourites.
- To add channels: From the channel list choose the channel to be added by pressing Select. Each channel you add will be given a number from 1 to 99.
- To remove or manage channels: Press Select on the channel.
- Once you've finished, select Save list.
You can access your favourites list on Sky inside the 'What's on now and next' rail in the Home menu.
Or, you can go to the TV guide and open it from there.
For quick access, simply press the number of the channel in your favourites list in your Sky remote.
