Then, you can either pour the beans into the bowl with the toast and mix it up, or use your fork to dip each bite-sized piece of toast into your beans and eat them that way.

Viewers are divided over whether this unusual way of eating beans on toast is genius or bonkers.

One person called the hack "a brilliant idea". Another said: "This is the best life hack!!" And a third person replied: "Weird… but genius."

Some commenters revealed they often make use of the tip, saying: "My mum does it for my son. He loves it! Also. Yes to scissors on pizza. Game changer!!!" read one reply. A different user said: "Yep love my kitchen scissors."

Beans on toast is not the only dish that has divided opinion.

One food expert claimed the best way to eat toast is to eat it toppings side down so that your tastebuds get the most out of the toast-eating experience.

Another food expert claimed we have been eating our meals all wrong.

They said the best time to eat ice cream is 6.30am, while the best time for chocolate is 11am.

The expert argued shaking up the timings of your meals can improve your health - from helping you to lose weight to improving your mental prowess.

It turns out we have also been eating burgers wrong all our lives. Chain restaurant TGI Fridays made the extraordinary claim that we should be eating them upside down.

On their Instagram account, the restaurant explained: “According to our experts, the best way to eat a burger is to flip it upside down.

“The thicker top bun soaks up the burger juices, helping keep that flavour in for longer."

A Fridays burger expert added further explanation, and said: "The reason that many say a burger tastes better when eaten 'upside down' is that the top bun is thicker.

“So, flipping your burger means that there is more bread underneath to absorb the juices and flavours from the burger and toppings as you bite into it.

"It also means that your tongue meets the toppings first and the burger second.

“Whether that tastes better to you is down to personal preference—so give it a try and let us know what you find!"
