YOUTUBER iShowSpeed has had a hectic year filled with hospitalization and a botched science experiment.

Darren Watkins Jr. also known as IShowSpeed or Speed is an American YouTuber, streamer, singer, rapper, and internet personality.
He was born on January 21, 2005, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Darren rose to fame within a few months for streaming live from his bedroom playing video games.

Darren created his YouTube channel in 2016 and began uploading gameplay videos.
In December 2017 he started to livestream, however, he wasn't that successful in the beginning.
It wasn't until May 2021 that he started to grow his fanbase.
Within a few months, his subscribers began to rise and as of October 2023, he has 20.5million followers on YouTube.
What happened to IShowSpeed?
In 2023, IShowSpeed was rushed into emergency surgery with a swollen eye while in Japan.
In a video he shared with his followers he confirmed that he has severe pain.
He said: "I don't know what I have. I have been feeling s***, pretty bad.
"My eyes are puffing up, it feels like somebody is stabbing my eye with a knife and I have a headache."
He shared with his fans that he was diagnosed with cluster headaches.

He said: “I have this thing called a cluster headache right now. A deadly headache disease.
"I can’t sleep, I can’t eat, I can’t do anything right now.”
Speed thanked his fans for their support, and he was able to leave the hospital a few days later.
He was back in the headlines on October 4, 2023, after it was revealed that he was treated by paramedics after a science experiment in his bedroom went horribly wrong.
At the time, he was participating in the elephant toothpaste experiment, which caused a bad reaction, and he inhaled a dense cloud, making it impossible for him to breathe.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and treated Speed with oxygen.
His cameraman informed viewers that he "should be fine guys."

Speed was hospitalized in Japan in July 2023 with a severe sinus infection.
He was released on July 30 and made his way back home on August 8.
The YouTube star then made his triumphant return to the social media site on August 15, and he has been posting content ever since.
