Love Island winners Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan admit finding things hard after winning ITV's winter season earlier this year. The loved-up couple are celebrating six months since leaving the villa in South Africa, but not everything's gone smoothley.
Speaking at Friday night's National Diversity Awards, Kai detailed struggles post-Love Island, explaining the couple felt "thrown out". After their big win, the two admitted difficulties finding their feet and feeling pressure from the outside world.
"It takes a while because all of a sudden you get thrown out and it's like 'ah you need to be doing this'," Kai explained. The reality TV star attended the glitzy awards show, held in Liverpool, alongside Sanam as the pair looked every bit the happy couple.
He told Liverpool Echo: "It takes a bit of time to understand what you want to do, but as soon as you get it, you get clarity in your mind, you just keep going with it and it's amazing. We came out with each other."
Kai added: "We live together now, we've spent every single moment with each other." Sanam detailed one recent moment she was separated from her co-star partner, telling the outlet how upset she was after the ordeal.

Their appearance comes after they once again sparked engagement speculation after Kai handed Sanam a promise ring.
He recently shared a photo of them both on his Instagram page with something eye catching on her finger. He explained in the caption that it was a promise ring but then teased that an engagement may be on the cards. He wrote: "By the way guys it's a promise ring! The big one will come soon don't worry."
Fans weren't about to get it go without rushing the the comments. One told him: "Why did I gasp and then get emotional?!" While another said: "Love the ring, you guys are great together, can't wait to see what your engagement ring's gonna be like."
But it's not the first time they've got everyone excited. Kai 'proposed' when the pair appeared together on radio station BBC Asian Network back in March. They addressed the speculation in a Q&A on his Instagram Story before long and answered questions submitted by fans whilst on a date in Wetherspoons.
Among the questions that the former Islanders responded to on the platform was one in which a fan asked: "Are you engaged? Hope it's true. You guys are perfect". Kai began their response by saying: "We're just going to clear this one up and let the world know. We are..." Sanam then finished the statement saying: "... not engaged".
"No, we are. We are," teased Kai before Sanam insisted: "No, we're not engaged. There's no ring." Kai subsequently added: "Not yet, but we will be. We promise you we will be". Sanam went on to suggest that "one day" they will become engaged.
