BRITISH Vogue has appointed fashion journalist Chioma Nnadi as the new head of editorial content.
She'll succeed Edward Enninful, who revealed he would be stepping back from the title.

Nnadi was born to a Swiss-German nurse mother and a Nigerian father who came to the UK to study in the 1960s.
She grew up in central London and began her career on the features desk of the Evening Standard magazine.
She then moved to New York to write for the independent style magazine Trace before going on to cover fashion and its links to music for Fader.

When did Chioma Nnadi first start working with Vogue?
Nnadi started at Vogue as a fashion news writer in 2010.
She worked her way up over the next decade from fashion news director to becoming editor of vogue.com in September 2020.
There she’s been behind some of the biggest Vogue cover stories of the year, including Rihanna, Cara Delevingne and Erykah Badu.
On September 18, 2023, it was announced that Nandi had been named the new head of editorial content to lead British Vogue.
“Chioma is beloved among her colleagues at Vogue, and is an editor and writer with an impeccable reputation — both here and in the fashion industry at large,” Anna Wintour said in a statement about her appointment.
“I can’t think of a more worthy person to follow in his footsteps than Chioma, who has proven herself adept at speaking to our digital audience and has found ways to extend Vogue’s reach, authority, and influence across all of our platforms.
"She is passionate about fashion, music and culture, and I couldn’t be happier that she will be leading our editorial and creative teams in London.”
Nnadi will become the first black female head to run a major luxury fashion house. which also has outlets in the US, France and Italy.
"As someone who was born and raised in London, the energy of the city - its boundary-pushing style and creative scene - has shaped the way I look at the world," Nnadi said in a statement on Monday, in the middle of London Fashion Week.

Nnadi will officially take on the role on October 9, 2023.
Who is Edward Enninful at British Vogue?
Nnadi will take over from British stylist Edward Enninful.
Edward announced he be stepping down from his position in June and confirmed that the March 2024 issue will be his last as the Editor-In-Chief of British Vogue.
As the publication’s first Black editor, British Vogue became a more diverse magazine that championed plus-size and transgender models.
It also featured celebrities such as Meghan Markle.
Despite leaving his current position, Enninful will stay on at Vogue’s publishing house Condé Nast.
He will become British Vogue’s global creative and cultural and editorial adviser.
