Fans of And Just Like That have been left pleasantly surprised with Kim Cattrall's cameo reunion in the finale of the second season of the show.
Kim's character Samantha finally made her comeback on the Sex and the City spin-off series, which aired on Thursday, 24 August. Her appearance was first announced in June following years of feud rumours with her co-star Sarah Jessica Parker, with whom she shared her cameo scene.
In the scene, Carrie (played by SJP) is preparing for her last dinner at her apartment before she moves out when she receives a surprise phone call from Samantha. She explains to Carrie that Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) had called and told her about her big move, and she wanted to surprise her by making it to her dinner, but unfortunately, her flight was three hours delayed.
"It is your apartment, and I have to pay my respects," Samantha told her. Carrie then put her on speaker so she could do so, with Samantha proceeding to say to the apartment: "Thank you for everything. You f***ing fabulous, fabulous flat," Samantha tells the iconic apartment.

One person tweeted: "Kim cattrall literally came back just to give what the satc/ajlt fans really wants, it's feels so good to see samantha jones back in our screen even if it is just for a short time. i love this woman so bad she practically raised me #AndJustLikeThat."

Another said: "My eyes lit up seeing Samantha/Kim Cattrall back tonight on #AndJustLikeThat. I missed her sm. Thank you for bringing her back even for a cameo!" while a third added: "Seeing @KimCattrall back as #SamanthaJones was everything."
There have been long-standing rumours of a fued between Kim and SJP (WireImage)Speaking of his cameo back in June, Kim said: "This is as far as I'm going to go. I don't think I'll ever say goodbye to Samantha. "She's like a lot of other characters that I've done over the years. She gave me so much, and I'm so appreciative of her."
Meanwhile, Kim's time on the show has long been plagued by speculation of a public fall-out with SJP. Kim has previously emphasised time and time again that she keeps SJP at arm's length.
She has previously noted on Piers Morgan's Life Stories in 2017: "We've never been friends; we've been colleagues." However, rumours of the rift appeared to be put to rest when Sarah recently stated that Kim's cameo on And Just Like That was "joyous".
