MILLIONS of TV owners are set to receive a FREE upgrade that will make finding their favourite shows and movies easier.

LG TVs popular app, Channels, is about to be improved and offer Brits a more streamlined viewing experience via LG Channels 3.0.
The manufacturer said a new navigation system with "more engaging placements for content discovery and an enhanced channel guide" is set to help users "discover the content that resonates with them".
It is designed similar to The Roku Channel, a free American streaming ad-supported service.

The upgrade means users don't have to switch between different apps while browsing for entertainment.
There will be three sections, Home, Live and On Demand.
On the Home tab, viewers will be offered a selection of features channels, collections created by the user, and premium on demand streaming.
Meanwhile, Live allows Brits to press play on channels directly from the app.
The On Demand section is a collection of movies and TV shows, with categories such as Popular Now.
Plus, the new and improved guide will only take up half the screen, so users don't have to miss what they're currently watching to choose something else.
It is hitting TVs in South Korea this month, before coming to the UK and US in October.
Most users will find LG Channels 3.0 in the LG Smart TV, but an app for iOS and Android will also hit the market.
There are currently 30 countries able to access the service and LG plans to extend this to more.
