Nina also posted a video of Chris talking to Nancy and playing with her legs as she looked up at her granddad and she added: "Dementia means the words he uses don't quite make 'sense'."

The final picture showed the pair looking happily at each other and she wrote: "But they seem to understand each other just fine" alongside two love heart emojis.

She captioned the touching post: "If your family is on a #dementia journey, you’ll also be learning how communication is about much more than words.

"His words might not make perfect “sense,” but these two understand each other just fine."

Nina received lots of comments of support from her fans, with one writing: "Aww this is so beautiful, brought a tear to my eye."

Another added: "The way she looks at her granddad" alongside a love heart emoji.

A third commented: "So beautiful, the way they look at each other."

Meanwhile a fourth wrote: "The communication between my children and my Dad is beautiful. They’ve always understood each other. Dementia doesn’t have to mean no communication, it means different communication."
