ROLLING Stones fans believe the sneaky newspaper ad that teased their new album also contained a hidden clue to the title of the lead single . . . and it’s Angry.
Those who called the number of the fake glazing ad in the Hackney Gazette last week were met with a recording that said: “Welcome to Hackney Diamonds, specialists in glass repair.
“Don’t get angry, get it fixed.”
And that has led many to think “Angry” could be the first single from the album, which will be called Hackney Diamonds.
A music industry insider said: “The reception from the Stones’ fans to the announcement has been incredible.

“Angry is a good shout, but they’ll just have to wait and see.”
Fans won’t be twiddling their thumbs for too long, as I have been told the band, made up of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood, are putting out the record in late October.
My music insider added: “The Stones are so proud of Hackney Diamonds and they cannot wait for their fans to hear it.
“The record is going to be out towards the end of October. They’re confident it will become their 14th chart-topper.”
I’d definitely put a fiver on it. Earlier this year I revealed that the group’s former bassist, Bill Wyman, had returned to record a song on the album dedicated to the Stones’ late drummer Charlie Watts.
The album is the band’s first since his death in 2021 and the first body of work featuring original songs since A Bigger Bang was released in 2005.
Charlie’s drumming will be heard on the record, with his stand-in Steve Jordan providing the rest, while Elton John and Paul McCartney will also put in cameos.
As the nights start to draw in and the weather gets even worse, I can’t think of anything better than getting this record on vinyl and playing it at top blast with a glass of something warming.

Claire a Step behind Burna
STEPS’ Claire Richards and Nigerian singer Burna Boy have become unlikely rivals as they battle for this week’s No1 album spot.
Burna has taken the lead with his seventh album, I Told Them . . . , which would be his first chart-topper in the UK.
But Claire is close behind with her second solo album, Euphoria, on which she performs covers, including songs by Celine Dion and Cher.
Elsewhere, midweek chart data shows Alice Cooper is on route to No3 with Road, while alternative pop star Ashnikko’s debut album, Weedkiller, is due to hit No4.
JUST A BIT TOO CASUAL
MARRIED couple Justin and Hailey Bieber clearly aren’t on the same page when it comes to clothes.
Model Hailey looked glamorous in this fuchsia dress, while her hubby appeared to have got ready for an entirely different event.
The Sorry singer wore a pink cap over the top of a hoodie, along with tracksuit shorts, a pair of Crocs and socks.
They were in New York for a launch event with Krispy Kreme doughnuts, as Hailey’s make-up brand Rhode collaborated with the company on a strawberry glaze lip gloss.
It’s not only her career that Hailey has had to focus on.
Last week it was claimed she has been helping to manage Justin’s career.
Perhaps she should become his personal stylist as well.
Shake up for party with Lily
AFTER her slot at All Points East was canned on Saturday due to the weather, rapper 070 Shake made sure the downpour did not rain on her parade entirely.
She was spotted enjoying a knees-up with her girlfriend, Lily-Rose Depp, with onlookers revealing the pair decided to kick back with a few bottles of wine to cheer themselves up.
A source said: “They made the most of their time backstage and were drinking wine together.
“Shake was naturally gutted that her set was pulled but Lily certainly seemed to put a smile back on her face.
“They were all over each other backstage, where her trailer was, and called it a night before the main acts came on stage.”
There was also some bad news for Lily yesterday as it was revealed her TV drama The Idol has been axed after just one series.
Drowning their sorrows was probably the best thing for it.
PAUL Mescal was joined by pals to support his sister Nell as she sang live on stage.
The Normal People actor, who has been shooting Gladiator 2 in Malta, had a huge grin on his face as he watched her set at All Points East on Monday and gladly posed for selfies with fans.
He was singing along with showbusiness mates including The Vamps’ Tristan Evans and singer Conor O’Donohoe, who represented Ireland at Eurovision in May with his band Wild Youth.
Later, they all watched headliners Haim from the VIP section.
Nell’s career is also going from strength to strength and she used her set to announce her next single.
She said: “It’s called Teeth and it comes out on September 8.
“I wrote it because I thought someone very close to me was reading my diary and I was like, ‘Oh that’s not good’.
“I thought, ‘what better way to get back at them than to write a song about it and release it?’.”
SELENA Gomez has revealed she broke her hand after putting out new tune Single Soon.
She released the track last week but said things were put into perspective after going in for emergency surgery.
In a response to a fan’s post about the song’s success, Selena said: “Broke my hand and had surgery.
“I don’t care about selling anything. I’m just happy to make music with my friends.”
SUCH CHEEK: KANYE’S PANTS DOWN
IF you thought that Kanye West has not been, well, very Kanye West for a while, he has now returned with a bang.
The Touch The Sky singer appears to have asked his new missus, Bianca Censori, to touch something else on board a boat in Italy.
Photographs circulating online appear to show the rapper with his trousers pulled down – his bottom exposed – and Bianca in front of him.
The snaps aren’t ones Kanye is going to be popping into his Italy ’23 photo album and they certainly aren’t suitable for readers of this column.
But you get my drift.
The pair were photographed while enjoying a ride on a river taxi in Venice.
Kanye was apparently keen to keep people from seeing him, putting a black piece of cloth over his face and neck.
Shockingly though, the incident was done in full view of other tourist boats, packed with people with their cameras in hand.
Later on, Kanye was seen walking around the city in his socks.
The couple were also spotted sunbathing in Florence last Thursday.
Now some are calling for him to be arrested for getting his bum out in public. And for the rest.
The fine for public indecency in Italy is £265.
But given Kanye has millions in the bank, I don’t think it’ll trouble him too much if he gets pulled over by a local copper.
However, Italian fans hammered Kanye on social media and told him he should have kept his kecks in check.
And I couldn’t agree more. That’s the last thing I want to see.
HOLE-Y SMOKES, CARDI
CARDI B dressed to impress in this stunning frock covered in cut-outs.
The rapper was at an album release party for singer Victoria Monet in Los Angeles, just as she teased that her own second record isn’t far off.
Cardi, whose debut album, Invasion Of Privacy, came out way back in 2018, is expected to drop the record’s lead single next month.
She told Vogue Mexico: “I’m not going to release any more collaborations. I’m going to put out my next solo single.
“Stay tuned because it’s coming out very soon.”
