INTER MILAN and Argentina forward Lautaro Martinez has reportedly been ordered to pay the family of his former babysitter for allegedly sacking her after finding out she had a serious illness.

The woman, 27, was allegedly relieved of her duties after eight months in the role when Martinez, 26, became aware she had a terminal illness.

The babysitter passed away in January of this year.

Her family claimed her contract was "illegally terminated" and looked to sue Martinez for his actions.

According to Sport Italia, the Court of Milan ordered Martinez to compensate the family on Wednesday.

It is unknown how much he has to pay.

Martinez has been married to Argentine model Agustina Gandolfo since May.

The couple have two children together - Nina, 2, and Theo who was born in August.

Both Martinez and Agustina reacted furiously to the court's decision.

And they took to Instagram to vent their frustrations, claiming the ex-babysitter's family are attempting to "take advantage of the situation".

They also claim the babysitter was a "lifelong friend" that they had given "big help" to.

Martinez has been living in Italy since 2018 when he joined Inter Milan from Argentine side Racing Club.

He has bagged 113 goals in 248 games for the Serie A giants, winning the league title in 2021, claiming two Coppa Italia and reaching the Champions League final last season.

He also helped Argentina lift the World Cup in December.
