Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp confirmed today: "He (Robertson) will be out for a while."

The Scot will have surgery on a dislocated shoulder, but he is not the only star to be dealt a long-term injury blow.

Rivals Manchester United have been among the worst effected by this strange curse, with all three of their left-backs sidelined.

Almost every team in the division has been impacted by injuries at left-back to some degree this season.

Crystal Palace are one team who have not had the same issue, but have been ravaged with injuries elsewhere in the team.

Wolves are also without some big names but have not been as badly hit yet.

Manchester City have also not been hit at left-back, though they are missing Kevin de Bruyne.

Whether is it fatigue, overworked muscles or genuine bad luck causing the issues, it is clear to see it is an epidemic.
