GARDENERS' World star Monty Don has been left heartbroken after his beloved pooch passed away.
The TV gardening expert's dogs regularly feature on his social media accounts and the popular BBC show.

Monty, 68, shared two snaps of the dog - one of him cradling golden retriever Nell as a pup along with a more recent pic of her relaxing outside.
The star said in his lengthy caption: "I was going to tell you about my new book which is published next week but that can wait because my lovely dear Nell died last night.

He went onto confirm that he had buried Nell beside her dog companion, Nigel, who died three years prior.
He added: "We buried her in the garden next to Nigel wrapped in one of my jackets with flowers, balls and her favourite biscuits.
"Her end was peaceful and dignified and ended obvious suffering but it never gets any easier to bear.
"So life goes on, but for the moment we are very, very sad."
His followers were left equally as devastated as they rushed to share their sympathies and compassion in the comments section.
One fan shared a poignant message as they said to the TV presenter: "The dogs and your relationship with them is so much part of the joy we have in watching Gardeners' World. The camera men are so good at capturing those smile-making moments.
"Hearing that Nell has gone to join Nigel is deeply sad but it's lovely to know they're buried side by side accompanied by their beloved tennis balls."
Another added: "I am so very sorry for your loss. Thank you so much for sharing the beautiful Nell with all of us."
Before a third penned: "So sad. They have our hearts always."
