Logan Paul has hit out at Dillon Danis after the MMA fighter lodged an appeal against his defeat last weekend.
Danis was disqualified in the final round after attempting to choke out Paul who had won the first five rounds of their bout in Manchester. Paul was declared the winner after security guards had stormed the ring, forcing the fight to be cut short.
But Danis insists it is Paul who should have been disqualified for punching him while he was on the canvas. The Professional Boxing Association, which oversees many of the influencer boxing fights, confirmed they had received a formal appeal - which left Paul furious.
"Embarrassing and desperate." he wrote on social media. "What's the appeal? He tried to take me down, failed. He tried to choke me out, failed. He didn't even try to fight back, he just took his ass beating like a b****. Dude really thinks he can handle everything online. He should just accept the loss like a man and move on with his pathetic life."
Danis' appeal follows another from KSI who was beaten by Tommy Fury in the co-main event. Fury was initially announced as the winner by majority decision before the result was later changed to a unanimous verdict after it was discovered one of the judge's scores was added up incorrectly.
Ten YouTube boxing fights we must see in 2023 including KSI vs Jake PaulBut KSI was adamant he should have had his hand raised, insisting the result was a "robbery". Robbery. It’s a robbery bro,” he said after the final bell. “How many shots did you land? You got hardly any shots off. Look at your face, look at your eyes. I’m the YouTuber and you’re the boxer, you have to win.
“[I won rounds] 1-3 and a point off, how do I lose a six-rounder? Unreal. He’s the man that’s meant to be the pro boxer. The amount of times he hit me in the back of the head and the referee only gave one point, and he was doing it over and over. He was trying to f*** up my equilibrium. It’s outrageous. We’re going to appeal. We need to appeal. I feel like I won that.”
