TAKING the kids to see Santa can be an expensive outing.
So it's no wonder mums have been raving about a free grotto that's being offered in supermarkets all over the UK - praising the experience and the "lovely gifts" their children received.
One mum took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook to share a snap from the Tesco grotto she'd taken her kids to.
"Went to see the free Tesco Father Christmas today," she wrote.
"Really recommend it, gifts were lovely and all staff were so professional!"

"We went to see the free Santa on Saturday too," another added.
"We were really impressed with the presents".
While others shared some of the toys that their kids had received at the free grottos.
"We got cocomelon bath toys for my 19 month old grandson. Great present," one wrote.
"We got a digger and a recycling truck," another said.
"My four got a set of matchbox cars, a play Mobil set and 2 got hot shot (like nerf) guns," a third commented.
"I was expecting a choc lolly or a selection box at the best.
"Very impressed by all of it to be honest!"
"My daughter got a pets purse my son got a tractor and my friends daughter got a mini brand's ball, really good gifts I was expecting a chocolate coin!"
"We went and thought it was really good too!" someone else said.

As another wrote: "We saw him last week. It’s such a good experience!"
Tesco's wrote of the grotto experience on their website: "One of Santa's helpers will welcome you into the grotto, where you'll see Christmas gifts being brought to life in the elves' workshop.
"Your little ones will have the chance to write their wish lists to Santa in the workshop and pop them into the speedy post box.
"Then, you'll receive a happy hello and a ho-ho-ho from Mr Claus himself.
"Finally, each child will receive a free, age-appropriate gift from Santa and a digital photo to remember the day they met him."
While the grottos are currently fully booked, Tesco said to look out for cancellations on their website.
There are also Christmas markets being hosted by Tesco all around the UK, where you can get free food and drink samples.
