Kim Kardashian received a right dressing down from daughter North, who showed no mercy while ripping into the jaw-dropping look she wore to the Met Gala earlier this year.
In the latest episode of The Kardashians, the reality TV star and budding lawyer’s eldest criticises the eye-catching outfit she slipped into at the fashion extravaganza back in May.
For the special occasion, themed in honour of late style icon Karl Lagerfeld, 43-year-old Kim opted for a custom-made Schiaparelli gown dripping with over 50,000 pearls. Viewers see the mother-of-four attending a fitting in New York, and she’s excited to create yet another memorable red-carpet moment.

“It’s the most amazing all-pearl dress. All we needed was that cat,” she quips, in reference to Lagerfeld’s beloved furry feline friend, Choupette. Kim initially received the thumbs up from 10-year-old North. During a video-call, where she showcases the outfit, the youngster gushes, “I love it,” and her stunned mum replies: “What?! That’s the first time I’ve ever heard you say you love it.”

However, it turns out precocious North, who Kim shares with her ex, Kanye West, wasn’t being entirely truthful, and when she sees the garment in person, she performs a complete U-turn. “It’s looking like beach-y, and the pearls look fake,” she says, savagely – to which the designer responds: “This is my worst nightmare.”
The difference in opinion didn’t stop North from leaping into action when, on the day of the gala, the pearls came undone from the garment. “I told my daughter to grab them all. They’re real pearls and she was putting them in the purse,” Kim recalled on the carpet at the Metropolitan Museum.
In a recent interview, the beauty and clothing mogul, who earlier this week was recognized as one of GQ Magazine’s Men of the Year, shared that North was following in her entrepreneurial footsteps.
Kim quipped that she has plenty of zest for business... after scamming punters at her lemonade stand. “If a random person stops, she will charge them only $2. If she knows you, she will fully scam you. I’ll get calls from my friends saying she charged them $20 for a lemonade. She’ll grab their $20 and say, ‘I don’t have any change,’” she told GQ.
