KARAMOKO DEMBELE has reunited with former Celtic teammate Christopher Jullien over in France.

The ex-Hoops wonderkid, who rose to fame as a young teenager in the Parkhead ranks, played against Jullien's new club Montpellier yesterday.

It was the defender's side who came out on top as they won 3-0 in the Ligue 1 clash and both players featured.

Jullien started the match while Dembele came off the bench in the second half.

The pair played alongside one another in Glasgow, with the Frenchman playing a key role for the Hoops after sealing his £7million switch from Toulouse in 2019.

He left the club last year though after falling out of favour upon returning from his year out on the sidelines through injury.

Dembele departed the Hoops a month earlier in July after running down his contract at Parkhead to join Brest.

And the pair have finally came face-to-face with each other since making the move to France.

Sharing a snap of him with Dembele, Jullien wrote on Instagram: "Nice to see you bro."

The 19-year-old winger replied: "My brother."

Dembele hasn't hit the heights that Celtic fans expected when videos of the wonderkid dancing past opponents aged just 13 started circulated around social media.

The youngster made waves back in 2016 when he played for the Celtic Under-20 side at 13 too.

But he left six years later, having made just 10 senior appearances for the Hoops.

After confirming his Parkhead exit, Dembele revealed Brest manager Greg Lorenzi sold him on the move to Ligue 1.

And he insisted he was ready to finally "explode" onto the scene in France.

He said: “I came to Brest because I saw that the project presented by Greg Lorenzi was good. It's something that suits me and I think I can have some playing time here. It was a great opportunity that presented itself to me and it interested me.”

“I'm very explosive, I like to have fun and give it to the fans and. I like to score and win."

Dembele has already featured more times for Brest than he ever did for Celtic.

He has made 13 appearances so far, but is yet to score his first goal for the club.
