FORMER First Lady Melania Trump has seen backlash over her outfit choice as she attended Rosalynn Carter's funeral on Tuesday.
Of the hundreds of dignitaries dressed in mourning hues at the service for former President Jimmy Carter's wife, Melania stood out in a light gray overcoat.
Melania, 53, sat in a church pew alongside other first ladies, including Michelle Obama, Jill Biden, and Hillary Clinton, all of whom wore solid black ensembles with black coats.
Obama, Biden, and Clinton arrived at the funeral together after flying on the same plane and landing at Dobbins Air Reserve Base on Tuesday morning.
It was Rosalynn's final wish that all former first ladies come together despite their varying political alignments.

A wide-angle shot from the funeral revealed that, of the people visible, Melania was the only person not wearing primarily black clothes.
The only black clothing that could be seen on the former First Lady was a pair of black gloves that she carried in, and her black stilettos.
For some watching the services while grieving at home, Melania's clothing choice was abhorrent and displayed a lack of respect.
"Watching Rosalynn Carter's memorial, Melania Trump is the only one in church not wearing black. She should have stayed home," one viewer wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
"Melania Trump doesn’t wear black to First Lady Rosalynn Carter’s service and looks down. Forever out of place," another wrote.
Some viewers claimed it was part of a larger trend for the Trump family.
"Once again, proving the Trumps show no respect to anyone, Melania Trump attends Mrs Carter's funeral in a light grey outfit. Every other former first lady is in traditional, respectful black. Not Melania. Why did she even bother coming?" posted one X user.
"Everyone at Rosalynn Carter's funeral is in black EXCEPT Melania Trump in some bronze beige get up ...the Trumps are clueless and tacky," called out another.
One viewer used Melania's apparel as an opportunity to hit out at her husband former President Donald Trump's bid to return to the Oval Office.
"EVERYONE wears black, especially at a funeral like Rosalynn Carter’s, but not Melania Trump. She wears gray. She stands out like the sore thumb that she is, God forbid she should ever set foot in the Oval Office again," they wrote.

ROSALYNN CARTER'S DEATH
Rosalynn died at age 96 on November 19 while in hospice alongside her husband, former President Jimmy Carter.
The couple was together for more than 77 years, the longest marriage of any first couple in United States history.
The 39th First Lady's death came after she was diagnosed with dementia on May 30, as her husband received hospice care at their Georgia home.
Jimmy, 99, was the first to pay tribute to Rosalynn in a statement from The Carter Center.
"Rosalynn was my equal partner in everything I ever accomplished," the oldest living former president of the United States said.
“She gave me wise guidance and encouragement when I needed it.
"As long as Rosalynn was in the world, I always knew somebody loved and supported me.”
The night before her death, Jimmy walked into his wife's room and asked everyone to leave so they could be alone together.
During the final moments they shared, Jimmy told his wife that he loved her and was proud of all the "wonderful things she had done."
Rosalynn's services were held at Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church on Emory's campus.
Her husband arrived at the memorial service in a new suit, which was made on Monday, and covered in a blanket that depicted her face.
He was escorted by a doctor as he left hospice care to travel to Atlanta and pay tribute to his wife.
The Carters' daughter, Amy, read a heartbreaking love letter that her father dedicated to Rosalynn while he was in the Navy.
"My darling, every time I have ever been away from you, I have been thrilled when I returned to discover just how wonderful you are," Jimmy penned 75 years ago.
"While I am away, I try to convince myself that you really are not, could not, be as sweet and beautiful as I remember.
"But when I see you, I fall in love with you all over again. Does that seem strange to you? It doesn't to me.
"Good bye darling, until tomorrow, Jimmy."
