LOVE Island alumni usually milk their time in the spotlight for as long as possible after leaving the villa.

But for one former contestant, she has dramatically quit fame after having a "spiritual awakening".

Alexandra Crane starred in the fourth series of Love Island, which aired on ITV2 in 2018.

She was working as a makeup artist at the time and entered the villa as a bombshell on Day 38.

Alexandra coupled up with doctor Alex George, but he brutally dumped her just days before the final.

The nation rallied round Alexandra and accused Alex of 'game playing' with her to get to the last hurdle.

After her time on the show, Alexandra amassed an impressive one million followers on Instagram.

But she later wiped the entire lot and also disappeared from YouTube.

In 2021, Alexandra reemerged and told fans she had experienced a "spiritual journey".

"I am not the same person, at least I don't feel like that anyway, since I was last on YouTube," she explained.

"So much has changed and I've been on this spiritual journey and healing journey."

Alexandra explained that her journey was triggered by an extremely difficult time she was experiencing.

She was grieving for a terminally ill family member, says she was battling anorexia and had even considered taking her own life.

"There was a moment where I considered taking my own life because I felt so helpless and didn't know who to turn to," Alexandra said on YouTube.

"I didn't understand what I was gong through and how to make it better.

"I had a business to run but these signs and symptoms were getting so loud."

She went on: "One day, the only way I can describe it, is that God spoke to me. It's the only way I can express what it felt like.

"This voice spoke to me and said to need to listen to me and trust me because I'm going to guide you. I'm going to help you through this.

"I started seeing angel numbers everywhere and things started happening in the world that I couldn't explain."

Alexandra said she began working with a lady who promised to help her and began having meditations to 'work through the different chakras' of her body.

"I feel like I've been reborn. It's like I am in the cosmic womb. It's been wild," she added.

Although she has not returned to Instagram, Alexandra has recently started posting on TikTok .

She has posted a handful of videos of herself that were filmed in Sri Lanka, along with several clips of healthy "soul food".
