LOVE Island star Liam Reardon has revealed the 'real reason' behind Georgia Steel and Toby's 'snakey behaviour' on The Sun's Love Island podcast.

Toby shocked fans during last night's episode of the ITV2 show when he picked Georgia at the recoupling ceremony.

Love Island fans also previously branded Georgia a 'snake' after cracking on with Tom Clare behind Callum Jones' back - after showing an interest in Toby at the beginning.

But the Welshman, 24 - who won the seventh series of the ITV2 show in 2021 with girlfriend Millie Court - thinks that they've done nothing wrong... and it's all to do with the editing.

Liam exclusively told The Sun: "I definitely think that Georgia is into Toby.

"You could see like she gets frustrated. When they did the Snog Marry Pie, she was frustrated with Toby.

"I think that comes from, not a dislike, more frustration that she couldn't have him.

"I feel like she was frustrated that she couldn't have him cause, he was saying, he's open and then she's end up resorting to Callum, which is, you know, it's a bit shit for Callum, because he's saying that she really really really likes him and then she's saying other things to Tom.

"But actually, you know how it's been edited, I've been there.

"And I think the way it's edited is quite different to how it is when you're in there sometimes.

"It's obviously it's natural, you know, we are real people on a real show. But obviously the power of editing.... editing is powerful."

Bricklayer Liam has justified Georgia's actions.

Liam added: "With the Georgia Steel thing, I think she was playing, you know, the boys a little bit, but at the end of the day, people don't realise you're not going to be super super super super open and truthful.

"If you've got your eye on someone you can't go around letting every person know.

"So you know you don't come across slimy, because you're gonna have a bit of like game about you - gotta like chat to them and you can't give your cards away fully. You're never going to get anywhere.

"You have to keep things, cards close to your chest slightly. You're going to come across slimy at one point.

"People forget that... I think what Georgia Steel has done, I think people think she's being slimy but she is just keeping her cards close to her chest.

"On the outside you maybe chatting to two, three guys at once, whereas if you do that in there, people think you're a snake or you doing things

"You're not really. You're just a normal human being."

Georgia and Toby coupled up together on day one, but he soon realised that he wanted to explore other connections.

The beauty was left devastated, but started to get to know her friend Molly Smith's ex Callum Jones.

Things got even more complicated when Georgia's former flame Tom Clare entered the villa as a bombshell.

Viewers weren't impressed with her after she told Callum that she liked him, but moments after Tom arrived, she made it clear she was interested in him.

Georgia then went into the hideaway and told Callum that there was nobody she'd rather be with in there.

But then told Sophie Piper that she couldn't imagine herself having sex with him.

To add to the confusion and craziness, during last night's episode Toby hinted that he wanted to give things another go with Georgia to Kaz Kamwi and Chris Taylor.

At the end of the episode viewers watched on as Toby brutally dumped Arabella Chi and picked Georgia instead.

Liam won over the hearts of the nation AND his girl Millie Court during the seventh series.

The couple placed first on the show and then moved into their first home together in Essex.

In June 2022 it was revealed that Liam and Millie had gone their separate ways, but then last year they rekindled.

Now the pair are happier than ever - with Liam living in Wales, and Millie in Essex.

Liam said: "It's going amazing. It's actually a lot better than we thought we anticipated.

"I'm in Wales, I'm back with family, I'm back with friends. That's going to make me a lot happier.

"Not that Millie didn't make me happy, she makes me very happy anyway, I was living alone in Essex, didn't really have many friends, I didn't have any family there.

"So now I'm home that will naturally make me happier and we see each other every week or every two weeks.

"We can't wait to see each other now because we can't just pop down the road and see each other... we have to wait a certain amount of time for when we are both free.

"It's lovely."
