In a chat with Heat Magazine he was asked if he could see himself being on MasterChef for the next two decades, to which he replied: "I think what will happen as we get older is they'll start bringing us out for the quarter finals, the semi finals, and maybe the finals.
"We may be too old and infirm to do it all the time.

The pair appeared on The One Show in 2023, and Gregg talked about their friendship, and said: "People still ask if we are really mates, 'Do you really get on because we heard you don't get on?
"It's been nearly 20 years and I knew him 10 years before this, so we've known each other 30 years."
John then added: "We've done 10 years not 19 series, so we are up to nearly 40 series, then you put professional on top of that and juniors, 19 years on TV, we feel lucky."
Meanwhile, this week Gregg's family life has come under the radar.
