Many parents will want to kit their kids out in the latest fashions - but they've probably not purchased them £10,000 worth of clothes.
But one fashion-obsessed mum truly can't relate, as she's purchased her daughter a glam collection of designer garms including Dior handbags and Burberry dresses - despite the fact Anaiyah Ameen is just three years old. Her mum Laurell, 30, has admitted she's had to cut back on her own luxuries in order to spend such a hefty amount on the toddler.
She shared that she doesn't get her nails done anymore, or her hair extensions, but says it's "worth it" to see her looking "so cute in her outfits." Laurell said she's not bothered about people who judge her online for spending so much, because she believes that "every penny is worth it."
The mum from Basildon in Essex, started buying big brands for her baby from just six months old, and her first designer item was a Burberry romper. Laurell has always dreamed of being able to buy nice things for her child, and after seeing how cute she looked in her romper, she couldn't resist purchasing even more expensive dresses and accessories for her little girl.
Over the three years, her collection has continued to grow with hundreds of pieces in her glam wardrobe - but Laurell does have a budget most of the time. She usually makes purchases under £500, but if something catches her eye she can't resist, she'll sometimes cave, with her toddler's most expensive pair of shoes being a pair of Dior trainers that cost £640.
New Year resolutions you should make for 2023 based on your star signLast month, she spent just over £3,000 on new outfits for her daughter ahead of her fourth birthday, and she rocks brands including Gucci, Burberry, and Louis Vuitton. She admitted that she often resells her daughter's clothes once she has grown out of them to get more money in order to freshen up her wardrobe with new trendy garms.
She said: "I will sell her clothes and I will always get at least 70% of my money back because people are after designer brands because there's a big market for them for children. People love her on Instagram for her fashion. I get messages asking me when I even sell clothes and stuff so I do get some of my money back.
"Whereas if I was to buy high street, in one wash it's ruined or one stain, the stain won't come out. It's bad quality, and then you tend to buy more so I prefer spending what I do.
"I used to save up to get nice, expensive bags, and I used to spend on hair and nails and all that, but now I just want to put it into her. It just makes me feel happy when I look at her in a nice outfit and when people stop us outside and it's just something that makes me happy.
"Her Dior shoes are definitely my favourite, she could literally wear jeans and a plain top and they would make such a statement. It's going to be so exciting when she gets older, I can't wait to take her shopping and I just hope she loves it just as much as I do."
