What happened to Wendy Williams’ eyes?

After Wendy Williams was diagnosed with Graves' disease and hyperthyroidism, both conditions have since affected her eyes.

Due to both conditions, the former talk show host's eyes have become increasingly large to the point where it looks like they're bulging in appearance.

"You caught it before I did. My thyroid, my hyperthyroid is attached also to Graves' disease.

"Graves' disease squeezes the muscles behind your eyeballs and so that's the reason for..." she elaborated as she opened her eyes wide toward the camera.

"What I want to say to women, more than men, is stop putting everyone first because if we're not good, they're not good."

Wendy further elaborated to People: "I had a storm going in my body is the best way I can explain it.

"It came from me neglecting my six-month endocrinology appointment.

"I have Graves disease and hyperthyroidism. If you have one, you don’t necessarily have to have the other, but I have both, and I was diagnosed with both 19 years ago.

"With the menopause, I wasn’t pointing a finger to any particular thing.

"I was just feeling like 'All right, well I’m 53 and this is I guess how it’s supposed to be.'

"I love doing the show, but I love me more. So I’m going to take care of me so that I can be there for them."

On June 17, 2022, The Wendy Williams Show concluded its 14-year run as its last episode was aired without its eponymous host.
