AMBER Davies couldn’t resist throwing shade at her ex Kem Cetinay as she made her Dancing On Ice debut tonight.

The Love Island winner told Torvill and Dean that she wanted to do better than Kem, who previously appeared on the skating show and came in fourth place.

She told them: “My aim is to beat the ex-boyfriend."

Amber wowed when she took to the ice and received a total score of 25 points from the judges.

Canadian skater Simon Senecal lifted her up in the air into a box split move as they performed to Hold On To Now by Kylie Minogue.

Judge Jayne said: "I loved all the beautiful positions, I think that is the best spiral I've seen on the ice in a long time."

Amber, 27, won the third series of Love Island with Kem, also 27, but they announced their split just four months later.

And the former pair have been back in touch – bonding over doing the skating show.

The Welch star said: "I’ve obviously got Kem - I text him a couple of times and he's given me some advice on bits and bobs but he did it so long ago.

"I'm surprised he even remembers! He said, 'It's all about confidence'.

"I over complicate things in my mind and I'm a bit of a control freak. I can't just let go.

"Kem literally said to me, 'You just need to relax'."

Amber added: "It's so hard to do that when you're on the ice because you're thinking about so many things. The more I get on the ice, the more relaxed I'm getting."
